ARC Daily Connect Newsletter—Tuesday, October 28th, 2025

October 28, 2025

Welcome to the ARC Daily Connect. We're so glad you're here!

Thoughts for the Day—Believing "I'll Always Fail"

Maria had carried the thought “I’ll always fail” since childhood. Each time something went wrong—even something small—the thought returned with force. Over time, she stopped trying certain things altogether, convinced that failure was guaranteed.

This is how thoughts become self-fulfilling. The brain learns to expect failure, and the body responds with tension and hesitation. Opportunities shrink, not because the outcome is certain, but because the thought itself closes the door.

When Maria finally asked, “Is it true?” the question startled her. She realized she couldn’t know that she would fail every time. The thought had felt like truth, but it was really an old habit of the mind.

The brain is designed to save energy by repeating patterns, even unhelpful ones. That’s why we tend to recycle old beliefs. But when we question a thought, the brain shifts gears, using areas linked to reasoning and perspective. This small act changes the pathway, creating room for different choices.

Each time we dare to pause and ask, “Is it true?” we open the possibility that the future can be different from the past. And when we ask this question together, the weight of old beliefs begins to lift.

Have an amazing day! SHG

Gratitude

The benefits of gratitude are nearly endless. People who regularly practice gratitude by noticing and reflecting upon what they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have more robust immune systems. What are you grateful for today?
