ARC Daily Connect Newsletter—Saturday, November 29, 2025
Welcome to the ARC Daily Connect. We're so glad you're here!
Thoughts for the Day—Turnarounds in Craving Moments
One of our members often thought, “I need this craving to go away.” The thought made her anxious, desperate, and reactive. Then she tried a turnaround: “This craving is temporary.”
The shift didn’t erase the craving, but it gave her perspective. She realized cravings had always passed, even when they felt unbearable.
Neuroscience shows that when we label cravings as temporary, activity decreases in the brain’s reward circuits. The urgency lessens, and the craving feels easier to ride out.
Turnarounds don’t have to be dramatic. Even small shifts can lighten the weight. Together, we are learning that in craving moments, perspective is one of our greatest tools.
Have an amazing day! SHG

Gratitude
The benefits of gratitude are nearly endless. People who regularly practice gratitude by noticing and reflecting upon what they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have more robust immune systems. What are you grateful for today?
