ARC Daily Connect Newsletter
Welcome to the ARC Daily Connect. Today, I'm celebrating rewiring.
Someone once shared how they were surprised to notice subtle shifts after paying attention to cravings for a while. They found themselves pausing more often, catching a thought before it spiraled, or delaying a response just long enough to feel a bit more in charge. These moments were small, but together they felt like evidence that their brain was beginning to change.
Science
Neuroscience shows that when we practice new patterns—even tiny ones—the brain strengthens those pathways. Each pause or shift creates new wiring, while old circuits begin to weaken from disuse. Reflection adds another layer: by recalling moments of change, the brain “rehearses” them again, reinforcing progress.
Celebrating small wins is more than encouragement—it’s part of the rewiring process. Recognizing a single pause or a moment of awareness signals to the brain that this pathway matters, making it more likely to fire again in the future.
No shift is too small to count. Every pause, every spark of awareness, every bit of progress is part of building new pathways. And none of us are doing this alone—we’re all rewiring together, step by step.
Have an amazing day!
Here are the podcast replay links from the last month.
This is a Google Sheet containing all podcast recordings from January 2025 until present. Please check the tabs at the bottom of the sheet for the month you are looking for. Thanks!
Gratitude
The benefits of gratitude are nearly endless. People who regularly practice gratitude by noticing and reflecting upon what they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have more robust immune systems. What are you grateful for today?
