ARC Daily Connect Newsletter—Monday, November 3, 2025
Welcome to the ARC Daily Connect. We're so glad you're here!
Thoughts for the Day—Softening Certainty
This week we turn to the second question: Can you absolutely know it’s true?
Thoughts often come with a sense of certainty. “I need this food to calm down.” “They don’t care about me.” “I’ll never change.” In the moment, they feel undeniable. But when we ask if we can be absolutely sure, something shifts. The certainty softens, and a little space opens up inside.
Neuroscience shows that the brain prefers certainty, even when it’s painful. Certainty feels safe because it’s predictable. But real safety comes not from clinging to rigid beliefs, but from allowing flexibility. When we admit we don’t absolutely know, the brain relaxes its grip. This creates room for new connections and choices.
This week, we’ll practice noticing how our thoughts sound certain, and how they change when we gently question them. Together, we’ll explore the relief that comes when we allow uncertainty — and discover that not knowing can be the first step toward peace.
Have an amazing day! SHG

Gratitude
The benefits of gratitude are nearly endless. People who regularly practice gratitude by noticing and reflecting upon what they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have more robust immune systems. What are you grateful for today?
