ARC Daily Connect Newsletter—Friday, October 24th, 2025
Welcome to the ARC Daily Connect. We're so glad you're here!
Thoughts for the Day—Writing Makes Room to Breathe
Anna described her mind as a tug-of-war. Thoughts like “You’ll never change” pulled at her endlessly. The more she resisted, the stronger they felt. One afternoon she tried something different: she wrote them down. To her surprise, the thoughts looked smaller on paper than they had in her head.
Writing changes how the brain processes experience. Instead of circling endlessly in the emotional centers, the thought is moved into regions connected with language and perspective. It doesn’t disappear, but it becomes easier to hold.
A repeating thought written down can feel less like a judgment and more like words on a page. Some even add a simple, kind response beneath the thought, such as “I hear you, and I’m doing my best.” Seeing both the painful sentence and the gentle reply together creates space for compassion.
Every time we set a thought down on paper, we take away some of its weight. And when we share this practice together, we see how kindness grows stronger in community.
Have an amazing day! SHG

Gratitude
The benefits of gratitude are nearly endless. People who regularly practice gratitude by noticing and reflecting upon what they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have more robust immune systems. What are you grateful for today?
