Thoughts for the Day—The Relief of Admitting "I Don't Know"
For years, Isabella felt she had to be certain. Any doubt felt like weakness. But when she asked herself, “Can I absolutely know it’s true?” she sometimes found she couldn’t answer. At first this frightened her. Then, slowly, she felt relief.
Admitting “I don’t know” quieted the pressure of certainty. Instead of clinging to one painful belief, she discovered room for curiosity. This is the gift of uncertainty: it creates space for new possibilities to emerge.
Psychologists call this cognitive reappraisal — the ability to reinterpret experiences with more flexibility. People who allow for uncertainty recover from stress more quickly, because the brain stops treating one story as the only truth.
When we let ourselves say, “I don’t know,” we rest in a softer place. And when we share this discovery together, uncertainty becomes less frightening and more freeing.
Have an amazing day! SHG

Gratitude
The benefits of gratitude are nearly endless. People who regularly practice gratitude by noticing and reflecting upon what they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have more robust immune systems. What are you grateful for today?
