Are you wondering how the FARA training actually works?
Come to a FARA Information Session hosted by Joan Ifland and ARC Advocates.
See how powerful yet easy it is to help another person with the right skills.
For 34 years, I managed an autoimmune condition with a real food diet, but I remained trapped in obsessive thoughts about food, body shape, and worthiness. The FARA training program taught me to treat myself with the same kindness and empathy I would offer to others, helping me see that these thoughts were not a reflection of my worth. I finally found peace, realizing I could be enough just as I am without striving for perfection.

Before starting my FARA training, I struggled with feelings of inadequacy and self-judgment around food choices and body image. Learning the science behind addiction helped me see these thoughts as conditioned responses rather than personal failings, shaped by industries profiting from insecurity. By reframing my mindset and practicing new tools, I found freedom in my relationship with myself, focusing on gratitude and self-worth beyond appearances.

The FARA training gave me the tools to connect my experience with others by sharing my story of addiction to perfection and self-judgment. I learned to advocate for change by using social media to reveal hidden industry practices and to offer hope to those seeking a different path to healing.

Hi, I’m Joan Ifland, PhD, MBA, FACN.
I have been helping people recover from processed foods and alleviate a wide range of mental, emotional, physical, and behavioral disorders since 1996.
I am the founder of the Daily Living Community (ARC), which is the first online immersion program to offer the right level of peer support for the remission of intense cravings.
I also founded the Remission Optimistic Community (ROC) to offer a variety of healing techniques to individuals who suffer from chronic and "incurable" diseases.
I have developed the FARA Curriculum, which trains individuals to protect themselves and others against diet-related diseases caused by the use of processed foods.
