Joan Ifland.

I have been in pain of some sort for as long as I can remember. Doctors have told me over the years that there was nothing they could do. Or they gave me medication that had painful side-effects. Or they didnā€™t tell me about approaches that could have helped.

In the Food Addiction Reset Companies, I have put ā€˜uncurableā€™ conditions into remission. Here is my story.

I had brain seizures 2004-2006, during my food addiction doctoral program. I was told they would never go away and I would need to be heavily medicated to keep them under control. I have been free from seizures for 16 years thanks to the Addiction Reset Community, a special food plan, and an intense meditation practice.

In 2019, I was hit by a van while on foot in a crosswalk. Initially the doctors thought I would need two weeks of rehab but I healed so quickly that they sent me straight home from the hospital three days later. Covid came next and I couldnā€™t get an evaluation of the brain injury for one and a half years. The evaluation showed a wide-ranging loss of brain capacity, especially academic writing. Everyone agreed that I would never get that back. Today, I am writing complex academic papers thanks to support from ARC Members, breathwork I learned in the ARC, and the many recovery activities of the ARC.

Lifelong physical problems that Iā€™ve overcome in the ARC include recurring sinus infection, asthma, allergies, joint pain, and migraines. Now, I go to the doctors annually for a physical that reveals that nothing is wrong with me. Iā€™m on no medications at my age of 71.

Emotional issues that have resolved include raging, depression, anxiety, PTSD, childhood trauma, negativity and critical nature. I am cheerful and positive in a consistent way I couldnā€™t even have imagined. My self-talk is positive after decades of a critical dialog in my head from growing up with emotionally abusive parents.

Mentally, my memory is sharp. I pay attention and learn easily. I make good decisions and solve problems constantly. My impulses are under control. Behaviorally, I have easy control over my food. I have daily spiritual and movement practices. I get great sleep consistently. I have never had the self-esteem needed to take really good care of myself, but the ARC has given that to me through consistently positive feedback on frequent check-ins. Iā€™m in a new relationship that is thriving because the ARC has shown me how to enhance another person. I have learned strategies for detaching from toxic people and toxic commercial entertainment I never knew how to do any of those things until I trained in the ARC.

The ARC has given me a pain-free vigorous life where I process emotions smoothly and feel a deep spiritual connection. My body is in the best shape itā€™s ever been. I feel like I keep getting younger and younger!

I can trace my clinical depression, anxiety disorder, obesity, and physical pain since puberty. Since I joined the Addiction Reset Community my physical, mental, and emotional issues have been put into remission. I would like to share my story. In puberty, I recall nonstop binging and being made fun of for being overweight starting from the age of 10. I also struggled with depression and anxiety. Over time I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Eating Disorders, Hashimotos Thyroiditis, Sheehanā€™s Syndrome, and obesity. Over the years I was on numerous supplements and medications. After joining the Addiction Reset Community these disorders are in remission. I am off of all medications and only take a couple of necessary supplements. Emotional trauma issues from childhood have been resolved and I now am able to find and keep my equilibrium. I was in therapy for years and didnā€™t get very far at all. Learning over 149 skills in the ARC -Addiction Reset Community has helped me have agency over my emotions. I now have great stable relationships with family, friends, and others thanks to being part of this group.

"My diagnosis happened three years after my mother had died from complications of a diet-related disease. She'd had the condition for several years and I was worried the same thing would happen to me. I needed to make a change and thatā€™s where the ARC came in. It transformed my life."

"On top of having my first ā€˜normalā€™ blood pressure reading in two years, the change in lifestyle has also made me so much calmer in myself. Before, I felt like I was wired and het up and little things set me off much quicker, now I no longer feel that way."
