Have You Ever Wondered...
Why is it possible to understand exactly what to do...
...and still find yourself returning to the same familiar patterns?
Perhaps you've read the books.
Watched the videos.
Learned about nutrition.
Understood the science.
You may even have attended workshops like these and thought,
"This makes perfect sense."
Yet a few days or weeks later, life gets busy, stress increases, old routines return, and you're left wondering:
"Why is knowing not enough?"
If that sounds familiar, you're not alone.
And the answer may surprise you.
Lasting Change Is About More Than Information
Learning something new is important.
But information, by itself, rarely changes behavior.
Neuroscience tells us that the brain is designed to conserve energy by repeating familiar patterns. Habits become deeply wired through repetition, and changing those patterns takes more than good intentions.
It takes an environment that supports the brain as it learns new ways of living.
That's what this workshop is about.
Join Dr. Joan Ifland as she explores the fascinating science behind habit formation, neuroplasticity, and why connection and consistency are often the missing ingredients in lasting change.
What You'll Learn
During this workshop, Dr. Ifland will discuss:
Why Information Alone Doesn't Create Lasting Change
Understanding a concept is only the first step. Learn why the brain needs repetition and experience before new behaviors begin to feel natural.
How the Brain Builds New Habits
Discover how neural pathways are strengthened over time and why consistent practice is far more effective than relying on motivation.
The Powerful Influence of Your Environment
Our surroundings shape our choices more than we often realize. Learn why changing the environment around us can make healthy habits easier to repeat.
Why Connection Matters
Research continues to demonstrate the powerful role of supportive relationships in creating sustainable behavior change. Discover why community is one of the brain's greatest resources for building new patterns.
Why Small Steps Really Do Matter
The brain doesn't transform overnight.
It changes one repetition at a time.
You'll discover why small, consistent actions often produce the most meaningful and lasting results.
You Were Never Meant to Do This Alone
Many people believe they simply need more discipline.
More determination.
More willpower.
But lasting change rarely happens in isolation.
Human beings learn through repetition, encouragement, accountability, and connection.
When those elements are present, healthy habits become easier to repeat.
Over time, those repeated choices begin to feel less like effort and more like a natural way of living.
That is the remarkable adaptability of the human brain.
"Everything Changed When I Stopped Doing It Alone"
"I thought I needed more self-discipline. Instead, I discovered I needed support. Once I became part of a community that understood what I was experiencing, everything became different. I wasn't relying on willpower anymore. I was building new habits with people who encouraged me every step of the way."

Understanding the science is important.
Living it becomes much easier when you're surrounded by people walking the same path.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is ideal for anyone who has ever thought:
- "I know what I should do—I just struggle to do it consistently."
- "Why do I keep falling back into old habits?"
- "Why is change so difficult, even when I'm motivated?"
- "How do people create habits that actually last?"
- "Is there something missing beyond information?"
Whether you're new to these ideas or you've been studying health for years, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how lasting change really happens.
