The Addiction Reset Community (ARC)
is excited to announce that one of our Advocates,
Heather D,
is now offering support in Decluttering.
Clutter has been shown to have a significant negative impact on well-being. It raises cortisol levels, increasing stress and anxiety, while also reducing productivity and focus due to visual overwhelm.
Clutter leads to mental fatigue, making it harder to concentrate, and has also been shown to disrupt sleep in some cases.
It has been linked to higher rates of depression, feelings of helplessness, and financial strain through unnecessary purchases and lost items.
Ultimately, constant exposure to clutter diminishes overall life satisfaction, making it difficult to experience peace and contentment in daily life.
A decluttering coach helps individuals effectively declutter their living spaces using proven methodologies. They provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment, offering motivation, encouragement, and gentle guidance as clients address the emotional and practical challenges of removing excess possessions.
The coach teaches clients simple steps to create and maintain an environment that meets their unique requirements.

About Heather
Based in South Africa, Heather is passionate about sharing the life-changing benefits of decluttering with her clients.
After struggling for years to overcome her own clutter challenges, and keep up with household tasks, Heather found peace in transforming her home into a space with minimal clutter.
Through reading countless books and articles, she successfully implemented decluttering strategies in her own home.
The sense of calm that this brought her inspired her to help others do the same. Heather began by assisting family and friends, and the joy she found in helping them led her to pursue formal training. She completed Dana K White's Decluttering Coach training and now offers her services to help others create a peaceful, clutter-free home where they can thrive.

What are others saying about working with Heather?
To me, Heather is the queen of decluttering. She has a lot of knowledge, not just about ways to declutter, but also about what can make it so hard at times. She understands that different people have different ways of getting organized and is capable of tailoring to your needs.
Heather is kind, understanding, and compassionate, and will always treat you with respect and gentleness. What makes her great at helping others to declutter is the fact that she has been there herself and has learned through her own experience.
If you feel you need help to declutter, I highly recommend Heather's services - Tineke, the Netherlands
As a participant in a weekly decluttering group led by Heather, I was so impressed with Heather's knowledge and experience with decluttering. She was able to give me great ideas for my next right step on my journey to decluttering my home of 40 years.
Her approach was kind, gentle, and respectful of my emotional and mental state. She was so encouraging in helping me get my home decluttered and teaching me skills to continue to keep it that way. - Rose B, Ontario, Canada
